was established to continue the rich artistic legacy of Gaana Bhushanam Smt.
Ambika Thamotheram, an internationally acclaimed artist, educator, and cultural ambassador.
Smt. Ambika Thamotheram, an internationally acclaimed artist in Carnatic Music, Pannisai, Mellisai,
and Dance Music, has devoted her life to preserving and teaching Indian classical arts. After moving
to the UK in 1989, she founded the Oriental Examination Board London (OEBL) in 2003 to establish
professional fine arts assessments.
A government music educator for over 20 years,
award-winning broadcaster, and global cultural ambassador,
she has performed and represented Tamil culture worldwide,
earning the title “Natya Kokila Vaani” and composing acclaimed
works for dance and classical music.
